Melbourne Experience 3 Days

The Year 9/10 students are given the opportunity to attend a Melbourne Experience Camp where they have many opportunities to learn more about Melbourne, the transport system, and some of the famouse sites while living in the city. These three days are packed with activities which are an extension of the curriculum with some fun activitiesadded.
The following is a brief outline of the program
Day 1
Train from Bendigo and Castlemaine
Australian Centre for Moving Images—Making a Digital Diary (this will take most of the day)
Shaun Tan’s—The Lost Thing. From Book to Film—also at ACMI
Indigenous Art—Federation Square
Hostel accommodation
Dinner— International cuisine
Games Night
Day 2
Breakfast at the Queen Victoria Market (very early)
RMIT Challenge
The Old Melbourne Gaol—Courtroom Drama—Culpable Driving Trial
Lunch at Docklands
The Shrine of Remembrance—World War II
Urban Seed (The City is our Home – Urban Issues Walk) by the Collins Street Baptist Church
Dinner at Southbank Food Court
